Nozawa Onsen has 13 free public onsens located around the village. It is one of the main reasons why the town is so famous amongst Japanese people. Many people believe the natural spring water has great health and healing qualities. It is the perfect way to warm up the body or relax the muscles after a big day on the snowy mountain.

Shiro Nozawa also has its own private onsen on the second floor for guests only.
